Training on Property Law and Law of Securities

On this Friday 16th December 2016, the Ag. Vice Rector In charge of Administration and Finance of ILPD, Mr. Erick N. Shirimpumu officiated the closing ceremony of a five days training on Property law and Law of Securities.

The training was attended by nine lawyers and notaries from the southern, North and Eastern Province.

The training aimed at helping trainees to know, understand and explain: What is property and its importance; Elements of the property; and The Domain of property. Another objective was to enable trainees to understand what is securities, its importance and the difference between securities and general pledge of creditors.

The Acting VRAF saluted the courage of trainees and interest the have shown in attending the training, and he requested them to make sure that something change positively in their daily routine. He advised them to exploit the role of ILPD by requesting more training according to their training needs.

Some of the topics that were covered by this training to achieve its objectives are: Introduction to property law, the notion of the thing or Res, Property vs Patrimony, Classification of property, Ownership, ownership: Accession of the thing, Co-ownership and Common wall, the notion of securities, Personal securities: letter of guarantee, Real Securities: Mortgages
