Rwanda Parliament delegation visits ILPD to review the progress of donors funded Project
On this Saturday 22nd October 2016, a delegation of Rwanda parliamentarians from the foreign affairs committee conducted a visit at ILPD headquarters in Nyanza to review and assess the implementation of donors funded projects.
At ILPD, the delegation wanted to assess the performance of an ICT project implemented by Rwanda Development Board but funded by the International Donors. The project aimed at supporting science and technology skills development in higher learning Institutions by covering these higher learning institutions with the wireless network and ILPD was among the Institutions concerned by the project.
Through this project, ILPD has got various IT Equipment to facilitate free WIFI access for students and staffs within and around the campus.
During this visit, the Vice Rector in charge of Administration and finance presented to the delegation the status of this ICT project at ILPD and recognised the tangible impacts that it has brought to the education delivered by the institute. Members of parliament recommended that the Institute should partner with local government authorities in order to enable population staying around the Institute to access the internet through ILPD Network.
