Official opening for the new DLP/Full Time Mode 2016 intake I/ Nyanza
Monday 18th January 2016, The Institute of Legal Practice and Development marked the beginning of the intake1/2016 for Diploma in Legal Practice, Full time mode AT ITS Headquaters in Nyanza.
In total the intake has 78 students. Among them 43 are from Uganda, 21 are Rwandese, 8 came from Kenya, 3 from Cameroun, 2 from South Sudan and 1 Burundian.
In his opening remarks the Ag. Vice Rector in charge of Administration and Finance of ILPD Emmanuel NDIZEYE expressed his gratitudes towards the choice of students to have joined ILPD. He encouraged them to be practical as the course itself is call Diploma in Legal Practice. He assured them the credibility of the school saying now the Institute is becoming international instead of national as international students increase day after day.
The students said that they are expecting to gain practical knowledge from ILPD to complement what they learnt in faculties of law.
This intake is the first in take to have the biggest number of students up to now. Today The Diploma in Legal Practice is being delivered in six different Modes in Rwanda. Apart from the Full time mode in Nyanza, there is weekend program nyanza, part time mode in Kigali, weekend program Kigali, weekend program Musanze and Executive mode. In all those modes the full time Nyanza is the first to have many international Students
At the completion of this program, students will receive the Diploma in Legal Practice. This qualification is mandatory for legal practitioners especially in Rwanda.
