ILPD Students Attend East African Court of Justice Hearings in Kigali
As part of efforts to enhance their legal practice skills, students from the July 2024 intake (full time mode) attended the East African Court of Justice (EACJ) hearings in Kigali on Tuesday, March 5, 2025. The visit was part of the Court’s annual rotational sittings, offering students a unique opportunity to witness live court proceedings and gain firsthand insights into the Court’s legal processes.
Olivier Munyabuhoro, the class representative, shared his experience, stating:
"Attending the East African Court of Justice hearings in Kigali today, during its annual rotational sittings, provided us with an invaluable learning opportunity. Observing court proceedings firsthand deepened my understanding of the Court’s procedures and complemented what I had previously studied in class."
Similarly, through his X (formerly Twitter) account, Jerome Mbanjineza expressed:
"We had the privilege of attending a session of the East African Court of Justice in Kigali. This enriching experience provided us with valuable insights from distinguished senior counsels and esteemed judges, further shaping our legal perspective."
