ILPD, PBA sign Memorandum of Understanding

The purpose of this MoU was to enhance and expand cooperation between the two institutions, leveraging their synergies for mutual benefit.

In line with their commitment to collaboration, the PBA will collaborate with ILPD in planning legal training, research, consultancies, exchange programs, and market studies. They will also involve ILPD in initiating, reviewing, or repealing legal instruments relevant to the PBA's interests and seek ILPD's technical expertise in the design and development of curriculum and capacity-building materials related to the execution of deeds, contracts, mediation settlements, arbitration awards, judgments, or any other relevant field.

Conversely, ILPD will take on the responsibility of developing and delivering professional short courses in the execution of contracts, deeds, mediation settlements, arbitration awards, judgments, or related areas as identified jointly with PBA. ILPD will also offer Post Graduate programs on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as initiated or requested by PBA. Additionally, ILPD will conduct research and market studies in legal matters pertaining to PBA's mandate.

The Institute of Legal Practice and Development remains committed to its mission of becoming a center of excellence for legal professionals, known as "IHURIRO." To date, ILPD has established collaborative MoUs with over 30 institutions as part of its ongoing efforts to fulfill its mandate.
