ILPD hold a Regional conference of Legal Training Institute
On this 18th June 2014, the Rector of ILPD officiated on opening of the Regional Conference of Legal Training Institute. This is a three days conference which will have as theme “Convergence” this mean s the process, conscious or otherwise of moving closer together on a trajectory towards unity. assessing how far has legal training in EAC moved closer together and if this process should parallel the integration of the legal professions of the EAC.
The Training takes place at ILPD Nyanza, and delegates include three people from Uganda (Mr. Frank Nigel OTHEMBI, Florence Nakachwa Dollo, and Mr. Stephen MUBIRU), two people from Kenya (Prof. KULUNDU Wanyama), two people from Tanzania (Goodluck Peter Chuwa, Hilary LUBENGO), one delegate FROM Burundi (NAHAYO Anatole) and five people representing the Institute of Legal Practice and Development. All delegates are from legal training institutions.
The conference is also an opportunity to forge links and identify best practice and incorporate any other topics as wished by institutions representatives.
