ILPD Conducts a Prosecution and Judicial Police officers training on International Crimes: Genocide, War crimes and Crimes against Humanity

On this 26th May 2014 the Institute of legal practice and Development starts a three days training in which 26 Participants (13 Prosecutors of Genocide Fugitive Tracking Unity and 13 judicial police officers) will be trained on international crimes: Genocide, War crimes and crimes against humanity. The training takes place at Classic Hotel in Kigali City. This training which will end on 28th May 2014 aims at Building understanding on International crimes: Genocide-War crimes-Crimes against humanity; Shaping knowledge in Nature, Material and moral elements of Genocide-War crimes-Crimes against humanity and related case of ICTR/ICTY; Developing skills on Modes of Liability in criminal matters: Superior command responsibility- Joint Criminal Enterprise under International law with focus on Genocide, crimes against humanity and war crime Examining Rwanda Penal Code and Rwanda Transfer law provisions on Genocide, War Crimes and Crimes against Humanity; and understanding what is the model of the National Public Prosecution Authority’s Indictment. National Prosecutors Mr. MUTANGANA Jean Bosco, Mr. HABARUREMA Jean Pierre and RUBERWA Bonaventure are the ones who will be training this team during the three days.
