ILPD 2014 Staff Retreat emphasizes on Team Building.
On 1st February 2014, ILPD conducted a staff Retreat at Nobleza Hotel in Kigali city. During this retreat Discussions focused on Team Building. ANNET Bok who was the facilitator of the retreat explained how important the team spirit is in the success of every institution. Using different games she helped the ILPD employees to develop their complementary competences, communication skills for a team member, team leadership, and work method approach.
The retreat has been also an occasion for ILPD staff to assess the institution’s achievements and express wishes for its better future. Some of the achievements of ILPD in 2013 are: the Launch of Fast Track Mode (FTM), the first graduation of Diploma in Legal Drafting DLD, increased number of Private students (foreigners), and the recruitment of qualified staff for some positions that were vacant.
ILPD has the ambition to become the bridge between the Francophone and Anglophone world as well as between the common and civil law. As confirmed by some students, combining civil and common law is one of the reasons that explain why the institute has many students from EAC Countries today.
