DRESS CODE

• ILPD maintains a strict Legal professional dress code for students. Students attend class dressed professionally to portray standards of the legal profession. Students must be a mirror of ILPD’s image and the Legal profession in general.

• Male students must wear decent dark colored suits with a white shirt and a tie always. Short sleeved shirts, and trousers not matching with blazers are strictly prohibited for male students. Footwear must be black or brown leather shoes only.

• Female students must wear decent dark colored suits with a white blouse only. Miniskirts, micro-minis, long slitted skirts or trousers, trousers or skirts not matching with blazers are prohibited for female students. Footwear must be black or brown leather shoes only.

ILPD MEDICAL ATTENTION DISCLAIMER

The Institute does not provide health services. The Institute is not in any way responsible for expenses incurred with hospitals, physicians or pharmacists. However, students are encouraged to contact local insurance companies for their life and medical assurance.

DEGREE EQUIVALENCY

Candidates need to note that for foreign degrees or certificates that were not issued by a Rwandan Higher Institutiton of Learning, must get an equivalence. Foreign degrees or certificates have to be equated with Rwandan degrees or certificates so that Rwandan institutions may ably  assess the eligilbility  and qualifications of the candidate before admission.

With the above therefore, candidates that have their degrees should send them to the Higher Education Council (HEC)and apply for their equivalence in time. For those that do not yet have their degrees but have got other documents in place of the degrees , they should request the issuing institutions (where they got the document from) to accompany them with a separate document addressed to HEC to explain the authenticity and value of that document so that they may also secure an equivalence.
