ILPD staff and students were encouraged to request for Chevening scholarship by A UK High Commissioner

On October 4, 2017 the Institute of Legal Practice and Development hosted the UK High Commissioner in Rwanda, William Gelling at its headquarter Nyanza Campus. In his speech, he encouraged ILPD staff and students to dare request Chevening scholarship sponsored by the United Kingdom.

His excellence William Gelling informed the staff and students that applications have started for the year 2018. All the requirements for election were clearly explained. He further added that chances are open to everybody willing to study in UK top universities. Chevening Scholarships are awarded to more than 1 500 candidates from eligible countries including Rwanda. These scholarships are of the master’s program in all disciplines.

“Rwanda has over time sincein since 1998 been awarded three scholarships each year, but with good political atmosphere and good diplomatic understanding between the two countries, the number was increased up to fifteen,” said His excellence William Gelling.

Both students and staff expressed their interest in Chevening scholarships and this was noticed during the time to seek clarity on these scholarships.
