The vision of ILPD has been conceived broadly, and for the long term. ILPD is to be :

• A practical school for all lawyers in a spirit of excellence, independence and service to the community,

• A law development centre, community oriented, providing expertise, information, promoting research, and offering professional services,

• The ultimate hub for French speaking African lawyers desiring to qualify for doing business in English speaking countries, and English speaking African lawyers wishing to qualify for doing business in French speaking countries.

In short, ILPD has the ambition to serve as IHURIRO, a meeting place for legal practitioners from within Rwanda, the region, Africa as well as from the rest of the world.
