The Rector of ILPD manages and coordinates all activities of the ILPD management academic, administrative and financial.

He / she shall include the following :

 1 ° Implement the decisions of the Board ;

 2 ° Submit to the Board the proposed budget of the institute ;

 3 ° Ensure the use and management of finances of the institute ;

 4 ° to ensure the protection and discipline of students and staff ;

 5 ° Represent the Institute within and outside the country ;

 6 ° Prepare annual reports and financial activity that will be submitted to the Board of Directors ;

 7 ° Designate the person who replaces him in the absence of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs ;

 8 ° Perform any other tasks related to its function and which may be assigned or delegated by the board of directors.

Rector Biography

Ms. Nsanze was born in Uganda. She received her law degree from Makerere University in 1971. She holds two certificates in legislative drafting from the Commonwealth Secretariat that it had obtained in 1975 and 1981 respectively. She also holds a certificate in leadership and management of the African Center for Management in Accra, Ghana. In 1981 she obtained a Certificate of Senior Fellow in Legislative Drafting Institute of Legislative Drafting in Canberra, Australia. She has attended training in leadership skills and change management.

She began her career in 1971 as a student prosecutor for the State in the Ministry of Justice in Uganda and rose through the ranks, holding various positions until the position of Secretary of the Uganda Law Reform. She has expertise and experience in legislative drafting and reform and revision of laws and in leadership and management. She worked for the Government of Lesotho as Chief Legal Draftsman From 1982 to 1991. From 1991 to September 2007, she was the Secretary of the Uganda Law Reform. During his tenure as Secretary of the Uganda Law Reform, the Uganda Law Reform Commission has made remarkable achievements. She has served on various other Uganda and Lesotho.
