Content:

This module aims at enabling the trainees to cope with issues related, directly or indirectly, with the law. It includes the following courses: Practical Approach to Criminal Proceedings, Practical Approach to Civil Proceedings, The Reform of the Judiciary, Social Sciences, Ethics, Intensive Legal and Business English, Intensive Legal and Business French, New Legal Fields, Communication for Lawyers, International Proceedings, Accounting and Management for Lawyers, ICT for Lawyers, Gender and Domestic Relations, Land Transactions and Mock Trial.

Differentiate Criminal Proceedings from Civil Proceedings;

Differentiate differences between common and civil law;

Differentiate differences between the adversarial and inquisitorial penal systems;

Identify reasons for the Rwandan Judicial Reform;
